Ashe County Free Medical Clinic (ACFMC) is incorporated as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 charitable organization with its own Board of Directors, Executive Director, Medical Director, and clinic staff. 

The clinic is located at 105 East Main St., (corner of Highways 88 and old 16) in Jefferson, NC.

Over 25% of adult Ashe County residents and workers have no form of medical insurance. To be eligible for ACFMC services, the following three criteria must be met: 

* Ashe County adult resident or worker, ages 19 to 64. 

* Without employer or private health insurance, VA, Medicaid, Medicare or other known health benefits. 

* A limited total family income.
